There is something so chic and refined about a highly structured bag in glossy leather.  The Fendi Classico No. 3 does not disappoint:

At $2050, it’s sort of a steal compared to other similar designer bags.  But it will actually blow nearly a paycheck!!!  Yikes stripes.  You can get it at Saks if you’ve stumbled upon a couple thousand extra bucks perfect for investing in your chic. 😉

Wine Country FINALLY…

The last time I went to wine country, it did not go well.  I mean, it went really badly.  It was June 2008, and it was my bachelorette weekend in Sonoma.  How can this go wrong?  All I will say is that it went horribly wrong.  So wrong in fact that this is the first time I’ve been brave enough to return.  This time, I am off with my two best friends – Jo’ie and Roxann.  And we are also exploring Napa too – for a change of pace.

We are headed to Cline Cellars, Gloria Ferrer, Domaine Carneros, Domaine Chandon, Freemark Abbey, Cakebread Cellars, and every tasting room in downtown Napa.  We are also checking out Tyler Florence’s restaurant, Rotisserie & Wine, in downtown Napa.  We’ll also hit our Sonoma faves, Imagery and Sebastiani wineries and El Dorado Kitchen and the girl and the fig.  Be on the lookout for a recap of our fun and food and wine! And shopping 😉

Girl Crush Wednesday: Giada de Laurentiis

You guys know just how much I love food.  I am assuming you also know that I love Food Network.  I’ve been watching it for years.  Giada is one of my favorites.  She makes such tasty Italian food.  Earlier this week, she made a brunch panino with brie and fruit, it reminded me how much I love her.  Seeing her with her husband Todd and daughter Jade always makes me happy (though I’d DIE for her house.)

I always wonder if she eats the delicious Italian foods that she prepares because she is “I am jealous of her” skinny.  But I won’t hate… that much at least.  And she is beautiful?  Ah, stop my now.  I adore her. 🙂

A Few Random Buys

Last Friday, my 50% off any regularly priced item coupon for Old Navy was burning a HOLE in my pocket.  Ironically, the entire store was on sale – even my beloved Denim the Rock Star Leggings.  What would I use my coupon for?  The Sweetheart Skinny Jeans, which retail for $29.50.  I scored them for $15 with tax.

I needed some actually skinny jeans – not skinny jean leggings!  If you get them, be SURE to get longs.  I am not tall and usually wear a 29 inch inseam with small heels and the jeans are not long on me at all.

Earlier this week, I stopped in Forever 21 looking for tops.  (BTW weight loss sucks, even my tops are too big so I need to start scouting new ones soon.)  I did not find any tops but I did score some cute Gold Triple Teardrop Earrings for $3.80 and new cat-eye-esque shades (F9182 in black and taupe) in $5.80.

I love that this resort collection is so classically ladylike Chanel while being so crisp and modern (likely thanks to black and white graphic feel.)  I DIE for the yellow suit, the sprays of white and ivory, and all of the black and white swimwear:

OMG when I saw these earrings, I actually had to strongly consider how many months mortgage it would take to buy them (more than three sadly.)  That being said, I can’t have them but maybe you can:

I love the rough turquoise stones against the sparkly diamonds and gold… even at $3950.  You can get them at Saks.

You guys know I am obsessed with stripes and well, everything nautical:

Black Jones New York trenchcoat with white piping:  TJ Maxx – I got this for myself for my birthday for only $59.99

White and blue striped scoopneck tee:  Old Navy – I scored this during a $5 sale earlier this spring.

Navy Essentials by ABS sailor pants:  Ross – I scored these during my mini shopping spree in early April.

Gold Enzo Angiolini slingback kitten heel pumps:  Some shoe site that went out of business – But I do remember that they were like $35!  This is my first time wearing them, so I need to break them in.

Gold hoop earrings:  NY & Co. – From back before the store started to suck

Black quilted and studded Rebecca Minkoff Mab Mini:  Gilt Groupe – I am SO in love with this bag.  What a perfect size and shape.  I see more in my future.
